Bauhaus Solar - 1st International Congress of Technology, Design, Environment

David Fisher presented the Rotating Tower project, illustrating the new technologies and methods in the field of sustainable building but underlined also the deeper meaning of the Dynamic Towers.
The lecture, in front of the prestigious Bauhaus University students and professors, was a herald for a new era of architecture that could use systems of integrated photovoltaic systems, intelligent facades, energy-efficient ,smart envelope and new materials and above all, for the first time a solution that offer a self powered building, thanks to the wind turbines situated between the floors and the solar ink on each single floor.

The Bauhaus-University Weimar, with its four divisions of Architecture, Art and Design, Civil Engineering and Media, established in Weimer in 1919, is where the new approach of architecture based on technology and science came in the early of 1930th, and was the source of “buildings as machines…”. David Fisher was born and grew up in Tel Aviv, the city that has most probably more Bauhaus buildings than any other city and consciously or unconsciously this is where he got the basis for his “architecture based on logic” and a building being a “machine for living”.  

Prof Zimmerman, president of the Bauhaus University, underlined that Dynamic Architecture, its philosophy and the industrialization presented by Dr. David Fisher are a fresh message, and somehow bring back to life the tradition of the Bauhaus movement.
David Fisher has no doubt that future of architecture is not going to be characterized by a style but becoming a trend of feasibility and sustainability, expression of today’s life.
