more infofrom the pyramids to the fourth dimension
Since the Egyptians built the Pyramids, nothing much has changed in the way we build. Three landmark events stand out in the history of Architecture thus far.
The first was in 1436, when Brunelleschi designed the dome of the Cathedral of Florence. The biggest dome ever built at this time, challenging horizontal forces.
Centuries later, in 1889, the first iron structure, the Eiffel Tower, was built in Paris and signed a milestone in the history of building. Many skyscrapers are currently built with bolted steel trusses, based on the same technology.
The third milestone in building dates back to 1905, when reinforced concrete was created by combining cement with iron bars. Most structures until now are made of reinforced concrete.
From now on buildings will be of industrial approach, having endless advantages, environmental sound, adjusting themselves to today's taste and dynamic as future life.
Our life is about changes. We live in a dynamic world, made of constant evolutions. The Rotating Tower captures this fundamental aspect of life, bringing the fourth dimension, time, to the world of construction, finally making the buildings we live in synch with the world that surrounds us. Furthermore, the Dynamic Tower unleashes a new form of freedom for those who live in it. For the first time in history, they will be able to design their own building via the orientation of the floors. The shape of the building will hence no longer emerge from the pencil of the architect David Fisher, but from the free will of its occupiers.Photogallery
